Is your old countertop showing the signs of all that use and abuse? Stains can easily ruin the most well finished kitchen counter surface, and scratches and nicks are common. Part of a successful kitchen remodel is getting rid of your old and stained counter tops and getting newer ones installed. Your older countertops will look odd if you're planning on changing cabinets and getting new paint. New kitchen countertops will add the finishing touch to your Louisville, KY area kitchen and add the gleam that's the mark of a good looking kitchen.
Granite is one of the most widely used materials for kitchen countertop surfaces. Earlier restricted to wealthy home owners who could afford its exorbitant cost, granite now has become affordable enough to find a place in millions of kitchens around the country. It's easy to clean and looks great on your countertops. The cons are that it could stain if not sealed well, and you have a more restricted choice in colors with black kitchen countertops being the most commonly sued ones. If you're looking for a cheap countertop that's also stylish and easy to use, granite is your best bet. Alternately you could choose from marble which is supremely elegant and hardy, but quite expensive. Consider marble for your kitchen island countertop instead instead of having it all round your kitchen. Concrete can take abuse very well, but might not have the same rich gloss that more expensive material do. Ceramic ties are affordable and inexpensive, but because they could be uneven, tiled kitchen countertops might not guarantee the same kind of finish as granite.
Our kitchen remodeling contractor can help you decide on the perfect kitchen countertop for your home. Take your budget and lifestyle into consideration before you make a purchase. If you can spend a little more to get a material that's durable and long lasting, you're sure to recover your investment soon enough.
Hello, I have a flat built around 100 years ago that needs an updated kitchen. Would require new flooring, cabinets, counters, and minor structural updates (potentially closing one door, opening another to a washroom area), but this would depend on suggested design. There is also a pantry area that could be updated, as well as a closet connected to the kitchen that houses a water heater. Need ideas on potential suggested designs and cost estimates. Not looking to use super high end, but medium to good quality materials. Thanks
